IDOC stands for Intermediate Document. It is a standardized format for exchanging data within an SAP system or between SAP systems and external systems.
Configuring iDoc for monitoring
In the service grid navigate to the system where you want to enable idoc monitoring and click it
Then click on “IDoc Monitors“
Then click on “+“ icon to add a monitoring for new message type
Add the “Message Type” and then click “+“ icon to save
New retriever gets created with message type post-fixed to name
One can create multiple such retrievers for desired number of message types
Navigate to the system in grid and view the monitored results
