From Menu, go to Dashboards > Administrator
Click Oracle Instances
Click Create New Oracle Instance
Enter the following details. Those marked with * are Mandatory.
Description - short description for your Oracle system
Organization - choose from dropdown
Site - Grouping of the System.
Role - system role such as development, quality, production etc.
Gateway - configured and working ITC Gateway
Instance Host - hostname of the Oracle host. Always make sure the local/corporate firewall permits Gateway machine to connect to the configured Host/Port.
Instance Port - most of the time it is port 1521 for the default Oracle Listener
Instance Service – the SID of the Oracle DB
Read Timeout – leave default setting
Click on + or Finish when Done
Enter Oracle System Connection User Details
Description: Short Description for user
Application: the hostname of the Linux system being configured
Person: Owner or contact person for the account
User Name: DBAMON (example only)
Note: When selecting an Oracle User, please make sure it is granted CREATE SESSION and OEM_MONITOR role, as well as "SELECT ON V$DIAG_ALERT_EXT".
The latter two are only relevant when creating a new user used for monitoring.
Automation users may have different requirements depending on the nature of the automation activities.
Password: password for DBAMON user
