IT-Conductor Notification is based on Subscription model - Users subscribe to Service elements to receive notification on status changes and alerts related to the element or its children.
The Subscription are created for individual Users, Group, Roles or Organizational Units. Please see the Creating Notification Subscriptions for more details

A special case is Distribution List - this is a special type of User account that can be selected as a Subscriber. Distribution List can be created easily in the Administration dashboard or via Management/Distribution List menu. Administrators can maintain lists' Notification Targets.
