Monitoring Account:

Please add a dedicated “itconductor” Linux/Unix user that is a member of sapsys group.
The user should be able to execute at the minimum the following commands:
•df
•fstab
•vmstat
•mpstat
•lpstat
•free
•uptime
•ps

Access to additional comands may be required if custom configuration is needed.

Connection Properties:

SSH requires minimum configuration:
•Host
•Port (default 22)
•Shell Type (Optional)

From Menu, go to Dashboards > Administrator

Click on Unix/Linux Systems

Click Create New Linux System

Enter the following details. Those marked with * are Mandatory.

Description - short description for your Linux system

Organization - choose from dropdown

Role - system role such as development, quality, production etc.

Site - Grouping of the System.

Gateway - configured and working ITC Gateway

Host - hostname of the Linux host. Always make sure the local/corporate firewall permits Gateway machine to connect to the configured Host/Port.

Port - most of the time it is port 22. Specify another port if needed.

SSH2.Shell - Shell to be used by the connecting user

Sudo Arguments - IT-Conductor SSH interface supports SUDO mode of operations.

Sudo shell - Shell to be used for Sudo commands

Click on + or Finish when Done

Enter Linux System Connection User Details:

Description: Short Description for user

Application: the hostname of the Linux system being configured

Person: Owner or contact person for the account

User Name: itconductor

Password: password for itconductor user

Private Key File: you can send us the public ppk file for your Linux server

Sudo: you can enabled Sudo mode if needed

Click + to Start setting up the Linux Server. This may take a few minutes to finish.
